Advertising and Analytics

We may allow others to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and to provide analytics services. These entities may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information about your use of AGF and other websites and online services, including your web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by AGF and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on AGF and other websites and online services, and better understand your online activity.

Cookies

AGF uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device when interacting with AGF. Individual services of a website can “recognize” you or your terminal device in this way and “remember” what configurations you have made. On the one hand, this serves the user friendliness of websites and thus serves users (e.g. storing login data). On the other hand, cookies serve the purpose of collecting statistical data on website use and harnessing the data obtained in this way for marketing purposes.

Some cookies will be deleted automatically from your terminal device as soon as you leave the website (so-called session cookies). Other cookies will be stored for a specified period of time that cannot exceed two years in each case (persistent cookies). AGF also uses so-called third party cookies, which are managed by third parties in order to offer certain services.

Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option that limits or completely prevents the storage of cookies. However, please note that the use and especially the convenience of use of AGF is limited without cookies.

    1. In order to ensure that the content from AGF remains up to date, user-oriented and comprehensive, this website employs Google Analytics, a web-analysis tool from Google Inc. (“Google”) that enables us to optimize our Services for you. Google Analytics uses cookies that track your preferences during your visit to our websites. This allows us to simplify navigation, for example, thereby helping us to make the site more user-friendly. The information that is generated in this process (including the IP address) is anonymized, making personal identification impossible. An evaluation for reporting purposes is carried out only after the anonymization process. The data, generated by this Cookie are usually transferred and stored on a server in the USA. As a user of our websites, you always have the option of disabling cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers allow cookies as a default setting. Should you change this setting, this may disrupt certain functions of our websites. Furthermore, you can prevent Google’s acquisition and processing of the information that is generated by the cookie and concerns your activity on the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing a browser plug-in. In this process, your IP-Adress is in a first step reduced to Countries in the European Union or other Countries in the European Economic Community. The actual link to the tool is: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Further information on the terms of use and the privacy options of Google are available on: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html
    2. As an AdWords customer, AGF moreover uses Google conversion tracking by Google on some pages. This means that Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”) if you have accessed our webpage via a Google ad. These cookies become invalid after 30 days. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that someone has clicked on an ad and been directed to our page as a result thereof. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie allows us to prepare conversion statistics to optimize our services. AdWords customers know, for instance, the total number of customers who have clicked on their ad and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. But they do not receive any information by which users can be personally identified. If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can prevent the placement of the necessary cookie – for instance through a browser setting that deactivates the automatic placement of cookies in general. “You can also deactivate conversion tracking cookies by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain googleadservices.com”.
    3. Moreover, AGF uses Google’s Remarketing technology on some pages. With this technology, users who have already visited our web pages and online services and shown in interest in what we have to offer are shown targeted advertising on other websites of the Google Partner network. The ads are displayed through the use of cookies, by means of which the user’s behavior during his or her visit to the website is analyzed and then used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. If you do not wish to receive any interest-based advertising, you can deactivate Google’s use of cookies for these purposes by going to https://www.google.de/settings/ads. Alternatively, users can deactivate cookies from third-party providers by going to the network advertising initiative’s deactivation page (link: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp).
    4. AGF uses the “Facebook pixel” provided by the social network Facebook (“Facebook”). As a result, so-called tracking pixels are integrated into our web pages. When you visit our web pages, the tracking pixel will create a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server. Thus, Facebook will receive the information from your browser that our web page was accessed from your device. If you are a Facebook user, Facebook can therefore associate your visit to our pages with your user account. Please note that we as the provider of these web pages are not notified of the content of the data transmitted or of the use thereof by Facebook. We can merely specify the segments of Facebook users (based on criteria such as age, interests) on whose pages we would like our ads to be displayed. Moreover, when this pixel is called up later on from your browser, Facebook can then determine whether an ad on Facebook was successful, for instance whether it has led to an online purchase. We receive from Facebook merely statistical data on this, without any references to a specific individual. This allows us to collect information about the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. For more information concerning this topic, please see Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Please click here (link: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads) if you do not wish to have your data collected via the Facebook pixel.

Please note that Google and Facebook have their own privacy policies which are independent from ours. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies and procedures. Before using our website, please inform yourself about Google’s privacy policy (Link: http://www.google.de/intl/de/privacy.html) and Facebook’s data policy (Link: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).

Social Sharing

AGF may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button), which let you share actions you take on AGF with other media, and vice versa. The use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing in connection with social sharing features, please visit the privacy policies of the entities that provide those features.

Payment Security and PCI Compliance

Security is one of the biggest considerations in everything we do. Absolutely no credit card, bank account, social security and tax ID numbers are stored on our servers; everything is manage by Stripe. Stripe is audited yearly to confirm that it remains in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). An independent company maintains a list of PCI DSS compliant service providers, updated monthly. Any other sensitive data that is stored on our servers is securely encrypted.

Third Party Apps Using Our API(s)

Third party app and website developers using our API are subject to our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and any other policies posted to AGF. Any developer that does not follow our policies may have their API access revoked at any time. The use of third party apps developed using our API may be subject to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policies of such third party developers. Certain Personal Information may be made available to third party developers if you use these third party apps. You should review the policies of third party apps to ensure that you are comfortable with the ways in which they use the information you share with them.

International Users

If you are located outside of the United States, please note that AGF is hosted on our computer servers in the United States. Therefore, your information may be processed and stored in the United States. As a result, United States federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of your information through laws applicable in the United States. Your use of AGF or your submission of any Personal Information to us will constitute your consent to the transfer of your Personal Information outside of your home country, including to the United States, which may provide for different data protection rules than in your country.
